These pages are are a record of the places I've visited over the past years, both on holiday, and living here. For most of the time I've been accompanied by my friend Sue, and once, by my friend Beverley and her daughter, Alice. Each time we came here on holiday, we took a package tour to get the flight and accomodation. But once we arrived we made our own arrangements for visiting the various sites. We didn't book tours or excursions with the tour operator, as we preferred to do it ourselves. A very good reason for that is that the operators normally charge £30 or more per person for these excursions, By arranging them locally with taxi drivers, 4 people can take a similar tour for the same price, or less, and can feel that they are contributing to the local economy. A word of warning - most of the pages are 'graphics intensive' and may take a while to load, but I hope you think it is worth it.
