Thanks to Google Earth it is possible to put together a composite large scale picture of Luxor from satellite photography. The picture on the left is a much reduced version of one I've recently made.

To see full size images, just click in a cell on the grid, and the picture will open in a new window.

The picture stretches from the Sheraton Hotel to the South to the Hilton to the North.

The detail is so good that you can see individual sphinxes in the avenue of sphinxes, or find your hotel.

As some of the pictures are about 100K, they may load slowly on dial-up connections.
