| There is still a place for black & white photography. Here, Sue thought she could capture more of the atmosphere with black and white than colour. I'd have to agree as colour tends to sometimes overpower a subject. Also, with the exception of the few signs of modern life, these pictures do have a timeless quality. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| When we arrived, the palm trees were being 'pruned'. The large fronds were cut off at the trunk, and dropped to the ground, where the lower leaves were stripped, leaving about 3-4 feet of frond. These are then dried, and used as roofing. |
