The tomb of Shuroy is coupled with that of Roy on a single ticket - 12LE from the main ticket office. Shuroy had the wonderful title "Head of the Brazier Bearers at the temple of Amun", and like Roy, his wife Wernefer, was a "Chantress of Amun". He lived sometime in the 19th dynasty, and although only a hundred years or so, separates his tomb from that of Roy, the artwork is nowhere near as skillful. It would appear that it was needed quickly, as it is obviously unfinished - some of the wall paintings are mere outlines. |

| Here, the unfinished paintings can clearly be seen. They seem to have been drawn in red ochre. This scene is just inside the entrance. Shuroy and his wife can be seen on the right. Many of the finished scenes are extensively damaged, but I particularly like the small dancing figures on the last photograph. | ||||||||||||||||
