Egypt is rightly famous for the Pyramids, but for me, its crowning glory are the temples. Over the years, we have visited the majority of the well-known ones, as well as one or two that appear to be rarely visited by tourists. This, I think, is due to the narrow-minded attitude of the tour companies, who consider that a visit to the West bank comprises the Colossi of Memnon, the Valleys of the Kings and Queens and the temple of Hatshepsut. |
