News

I have recently moved to Luxor from the UK. While I'm there, I hope to develop this site so that I can help tourists enjoy their Egyptian experience more than they would do if they stayed with the tour companies offering. Of course, they will see the must-see sites (at a much reduced price), but they can also see some of the less visited sites, which in my opinion are equally as wonderful as the main sites. So keep revisiting this page to get more news about these developments.

New or Updated Pages
29/07/06 Added 51 new pages - satellite photography of Luxor. See Luxor from Space!
22/04/06 Cosmetic changes to navigation buttons, and added new pages for Armant and Medamud.
04/04/06 Updated pages for Edfu and Kom Ombo, following my recent visits.
28/10/05 Added pages on the tomb of Ay, the tomb of Roy, and the temple of Merenptah. And also modified other pages to reflect the new pages.
11/07/05 Added a few more pages on the Open Air Museum at Karnak and a page on my recent balloon trip - must be something to do with me being carless at the moment, and so I'm spending a lot more time at home.
10/07/05 I've added some pages on Kalabsha, and corrected a couple of mistakes on the Medinet Habu pages. Lots more revisions to come!
12/04/05 At last, I've completed the revision of the site to give it a cleaner look. Now we begin the complete page-by-page revision, adding and altering information - probably be complete in a couple of months!
17/07/04 Added a new link to a Portugese language site - Egipto em Portuguese - which looks very good, although I can't understand it!
07/05/04 Added a couple of links to my friend Neri's websites - Egyptian Home and Friends in Alexandria.
22/04/04 I've now got one of those free Bravenet Guestbooks - if you want to make any comments there, feel free to do so.
12/04/04 A new page added - Above Luxor, detailing flights around the Luxor area by balloon and seaplane. I've also altered the Bars in Luxor page to reflect the change of ownership of the Genesis bar, and also linked to the page I've created for them
12/03/04 Added the excellent Eternal Egypt site to the links page - ! No - not this one, but a site of the same name developed by the Egyptian Supreme council of antiquities and IBM. Really worth a visit although the pages do take a while to download.
